Our under 14s came through the group stage with losing to Killucan beating Mullingar Shamrocks, St Lomans and a draw with Kinnegad. Well done to the host club and the organisers for a well run event. On Sunday we travelled to Rosemount and unfortunately lost to Moate in the semi-final, the demands of the previous day catching up with a number of players.

League Div 3              The Downs 2:10        Moate  4:8

Our junior team  travelled to Streamstown for our third game in the league hoping to continue our winning run the game was close throughout with only a point separating the sides at halftime. The goals by Moate in the final quarter gave them the winning margin, this was a game that got away from The Downs as we failed to take the goal opportunities when they presented. Team Serena Wynne, Amy Staunton, Amy Dagg, Claire Crowley, Rebecca Kelly, Roisin Scally, Niamh Rowan, Aoife Rowan, Emma Murtagh, Mary Lynam, Leanne Duncan, Laura Wynne, Laura Kelly, Gillian Ferguson, Britney McNamee, Karen Lynam.

We are fixed to play Killucan on Friday evening in Killucan.
