Ag Féachaint Siar – 2012  LGFA All Ireland Feile Finals

These young ladies gave us great enjoyment in the summer of 2012 when they won the county Feile final and went on to represent the club and the county in the All Ireland series in Div. 3 championship which was played sweltering conditions in Portlaoise. After some very closely fought games in the qualifying rounds which were played on Saturday The Downs qualified for the final after defeating hosts Laois (Ballyfin), Kildare (Ballyklly), in the early rounds. A win over Waterford (Dungarvan), in the semifinal set up a final against a very strong amalgamation side from Kilkenny city. After a epic struggle our girls lost out by four points.

The Downs GAA club wishes to extend sincere sympathies to the family, relatives and friends of the late Patrick (Paddy) Buckley Mount Temple Moate.
