The late Joe Burke RIP   04/07/2019

The club are deeply saddened to report the passing of Joe Burke, late of Hightown, Coralstown. We send our sincere sympathies to his dear wife Monica, sons Martin, Enda and Damian, brothers Johnny and Frank, sister Ann, daughters-in-law Gráinne and Martina, sisters-in-law Carmel and Stella, grandchildren Éanna, Adam, Oisín, Colin, Emma, Dara and Erin, nephews, nieces and extended family & friends.
While the air is filled with sadness today we all have great memories of “Murphy” and his life will be fondly remembered over the next few days. A character, a leader and a very able man who contributed in no small way to the development of our club in many ways. Joe held may roles within the club including chairperson and vice chairperson was also a great supporter of all club activities and was to be seen supporting his grandsons from the side line on many occasions.
Our club flag currently flies at half mast and tonight’s senior training is cancelled with Joe's grandson Eanna part of the squad. All other training including Friday's underage and Saturdays blitz are to continue as planned as per the wishes of the family.
We were honoured to welcome Joe and family as our very special guests on October 5th last year to switch on our new floodlights and walkway. 'Murphy' is pictured here with bodyguard Seamus Conroy and chauffeur Paddy Walsh.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
