The Cathaoirleach Awards are organised every year by the local authority to honour people or groups who have given special service in their community in County Westmeath. The awardsrecognise the role played by many individuals and groups in helping to create a strong and vibrant community. 

Congratulations to our club legend Brian Murtagh who's lifetime involvement with the black and amber was recognised last night at Belvedere House accompanied by his wife Mary and son Christy. It is fitting that Brian continues as club chairperson in this special year as we celebrate 125 years and congratulations to all the Murtagh family #nadúntaabú
