2 Leinster Scór na nóg titles won today !   14/01/2018

Another great day in the history of Scór Na Dúnta took place in Wexford today. First up were the Figure Dancers consisting of Erica Hynes, Sophie Joyce, Cara Hogan, Robyn Dagg, Niamh O’Reilly, Ciara Smith, Neasa Mangan-Lynch, and Ciara Mangan-Lynch. As expected the girls performed brilliantly and must have pushed defending champions Birr all the way as the Offaly club retained their title. Well done once again to mentors Geraldine Dagg and George Coyle.

Next up for the black and amber were the Leiriú Novelty Act comprising of Emily Shaw, Katie Moore, Grace O’Neill, Alan Colgan, Tom Tuite, Dónal Doherty, Ryan Molloy, and Rory Sheil. We don't know how they do it but Trudie Rowan and Noel Lynam have put together another hilarious 10 minute act which secured the Leinster gong for an incredible FIFTH year in a row !

As always, Set Dancing was the last discipline of the day and our 8 dancers did not disappoint. Hats off to Anna Fallon, Dónal Doherty, Andrew Shaw, Emma Thompson, Caoimhe Monaghan, Cathal Dagg, Eoghan Murray and Neasa Mangan-Lynch for a top notch performance to bring home another Leinster title for the amazing Alice and Brenda Deihy.

Thanks to everyone involved in Scór Na Dúnta both past and present and we look forward to seeing the black and amber perform on the national stage in Sligo on Feb 17th.

There will be a Tea Party fund-raiser in The Downs shortly - details tbc
