Tough Mudder in aid of IRVA

On Sunday last, our senior men’s team took part in the tough mudder endurance challenge, while fundraising for the Irish Road Victims Association. A big well done to all the lads on contributing to a good cause, to club captain Dean Clarke on organising the trip and particularly to all those who supported the lads with sponsorship.

Division 5 play off

On Wednesday July 5th, our division 5 team faced Moate All Whites in a promotion playoff. The game was a close affair, with only a single score separating the sides for large periods. Unfortunately for our lads a converted penalty for the visitors ten minutes from full time proved decisive and Moate ran out winners on a 1-17 to 1-13 score line. Team: J. Lynch, K. Carroll S. Egerton, D. Faulkner, C. Gavin, B. Flynn, P. Martin, J. Smyth, S. Colgan, D. Coughlan, D. Carroll I. Martin, S. Carroll J. Conroy, S. Conroy.

That fixture completes our league action for the year, which overall can be considered a success, due to numerous young and talented players developing and making their mark on adult football.

U14 Boys

Well done to the u14 boys who started their division 2 championship campaign with a good away win away to Athlone last Thursday.
