Underage Training

Underage training continues this Friday for U6 to U12 age groupsat 6.30 – 7.30.


Members Draw

Tickets are still available for our members draw in aid of flood lighting for our recently developed pitch. Tickets can be purchased from any club committee member. There is a total of 12,500 in prizes to be won with the top prize of the draw being 7,500.


Cardiac Screening

Clonkill Hurling Club are holding Cardiac Screening in their clubhouse on Sat 6th May and have advised that are our members are welcome to attend. Details are on our website and Facebook page or at www.ameds.ie or call 1890 300 333. Cost per person is €65 or it might be covered by your health insurance.

 

U14 Boys

The U14 lads hosted Rosemount in the league last week and were unfortunate to come out on the wrong side of a tightly contested game. The Downs 2-15 Rosemount 5-07. Team: Andrew Moran, Fionn Moran, Luke Duncan, Jack Wallace, Ray Phelean, Oisin Loughlin, Sean Kelly, Mikey Moffatt, Ross Clinton, Ryan Holden, Taigh Nolan Scott Murtagh, Alan Colgan, Brian Gaffney, Daniel O Connor, Odhrán Fitzsimmons, Adam O Rourke, OisinSymth, Con Davitt.

Also, good luck to the lads who are travelling to London this weekend for the St. Paul’s Academy / Dulwich Harps International 7 aside Tournament. 11 adults and 16 players fly out on Friday morning, returning on Sunday night. Keep an eye on our Facebook / Twitter pages for updates as the lads have an action packed weekend in store. Thank you to everyone that supported our Cake Sale and Table Quiz last weekend, your generosity is very much appreciated. There were several people who couldn’t make the quiz but sent donations which are appreciated along with the 2 winning teams returning their prizes: Paddy Nolan’s team and the Kelly family. U16 Boys

Our U16 lads had a good win last week in the league against neighbours Mullingar Shamrocks. It finished on a score line of 4-11 to 2-03.

Training continues this Friday night 7:30-9pm for all adult and minor players. U14 girls training every Thursday night 7:30-8:30. New players always welcome.
