Club Membership

The Downs gaa membership fees for 2017 are as follows; family €50, single €20, OAP €10, adult player €50, student player €25. Membership can be paid online or to any committee member.


The club extends sincere sympathy to the family of the late Kevin Kennedy, O'Growney Drive, Mullingar. May he rest in peace.

Westmeath GAA Gaeltacht Scholarships 

Westmeath GAA are opening their Gaeltacht Scholarships for 2017 with applications now being soughtapplications must be submitted on or before 31 January 2017 and the scheme is being administered by Irish Language Officer Catherine Daly. Month's Memory Mass for Ben Murray will take place in Rochfortbridge this Sunday at 11:30am.

Medal Presentation 

We are hosting a medal presentation on Saturday the 4th of February at 7:45pm for our successful teams from the 2016 year. Our Minor lads won the division 1 league, our u21 lads had success in their championship campaign, while the girl’su14 and u16 ended their respective campaign’swith silverware.

Referees Course

A foundation course for new referees in both hurling and football commences in TEG Cusack park in early February. To register for the course please contact MichaelGordon on 087-6884717 or

Committee Meeting 

There will be a full committed on Tuesday 24th at 8pm. While there will be an underage committee meeting on Thursday 26th at 8pm.

Clothes Collection 

The Ladies football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de-clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member. Please ask family, neighbours, friends and co-workers to fill a bag. Clothes can be left in the blue bin beside the scoreboard.
