Scór na nóg

On Saturday in Ballymore in we had 5 acts competing in the Scórnanóg Leinster Final. In a historic day for the club we brought home four titles, unfortunately the figure dancers lost out in a in a tight result, with five new dancers in the group it was a great achievement getting to the final. Our other four acts go to the All-Ireland in Belfast on February 11th, well done to Figure Dance - Robyn Dagg, Grace Conneely, Roisin Murray, Ciara Mangan Lynch, Neasa Mangan Lynch, Clodagh Kelly, Orlaith Murray, Hanna Dalton. Solo Singing - Orlaith Murray. Recitation - Emily Shaw, Leiriú - The Downs GAA: Donal Doherty, Tom Tuite, Rory Sheilds, Emily Shaw, Katie Moore, Ryan Molloy, Matthew Cunningham, and Alan Colgan. Set Dance - Cathal Dagg, Eoghan Murray, Donal Doherty, Richard Kelly, Orlaith Murray, Anna Fallon, Hanna Dalton, and Emma Thompson who all represented the club and put in a lot of hard work for the last months. Thanks to all the mentors who give so much of their time for the club.

Scór Fundraiser

American Tea Party in the Downs GAA Centre on January Saturday 21st come along and support the club, tickets available from any of the hostesses for a great social event and night of entertainment.

Well done 

It was a busy weekend for our county players Niall, Mark, Peter who were involved with the u21 footballers who defeated Roscommon last weekend. Also Kevin Smullen was on the panel for the senior footballers against Louth. Shane, Darragh, Niall and Brendan were in Kinnegad last Sunday with the senior county hurlers.

Clothes Collection 

The Ladies football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de-clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member. Please ask family, neighbours, friends and co-workers to fill a bag. Clothes can be left in the blue bin beside the scoreboard.
