The Downs Ladies Football

Minor A  Final                The Downs  1:11                       Killucan              1:11

As previous finals will testify whenever these teams play each other there is usually little to separate them and so a draw at the end of normal time was not unexpected. Great credit needs to be given to the entire Downs panel as everyone was called upon and all girls gave a fantastic performance and should be proud of their contribution. The Downs Panel on the day Lauren Collins, Ciara Wynne, Serena Wynne, Ciara Faulkner, Amy Dagg, Aoife Mullen, Orla Murray, Roisin Murray, Maeve Scally, Niamh Rowan, Niamh Nolan, Sheila McGrath, Karen Lynam, Britney McNamee, Lucy Power, Oliva Glynn, Shauna Conneely, Emma Murtagh, Amber Gilligan. These girls gave everything against a very strong Killucan side so training continues next week – text will go out to confirm. Na Dunta Abu!
